IT Manager

About the Role

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and security of all computer systems, related software, and hardware within the organization. This leader manages the IT team and collaborates with various departments to implement technology strategies that advance the organization's objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute IT strategies that support organizational goals and forecast upcoming IT requirements within budgetary constraints.
• Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems, ensuring mission-critical systems operate with maximum availability and performance.
• Supervise system upgrades, installations, backups, and develop disaster recovery plans.
• Implement and continuously monitor cybersecurity protocols and risk mitigation measures, ensuring compliance with data protection laws such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO standards.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the IT team, assign duties effectively, and facilitate ongoing training.
• Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers including negotiation and procurement of equipment and licenses.
• Oversee timely resolution of IT service requests and technical problems, ensuring high levels of internal customer satisfaction.
• Administer IT budgets and licensing processes efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in IT roles, with at least two years in managerial capacities.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are preferred.

• Use of IT Service Management software like ServiceNow and Jira Service Management.
• Knowledge of security tools including firewalls, antivirus software, and SIEM solutions.
• Database management expertise, particularly with SQL and Oracle systems.
• Proficient in collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
