Investment Associate - Private Equity

Role overview

A prominent private equity investor in Europe is expanding its investment team. The business partners with mid-market companies and works in close collaboration with management teams to generate durable value and support long-term expansion.

This position gives you exposure to the complete investment cycle and the chance to collaborate with seasoned investors on important transactions.

What you will do

• Help source, assess, and progress investment opportunities from early review through execution.
• Perform financial analysis, study market dynamics, and carry out commercial due diligence.
• Build investment papers, financial models, and other internal decision-support documents.
• Partner with senior deal professionals during the transaction process.
• Assist in tracking portfolio companies and supporting their strategic development.
• Take part in value-creation initiatives together with portfolio management teams.

Candidate profile

• Between 1.5 and 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience from one or more of the following areas: strategy consulting (such as MBB or similar firms), transaction advisory/deals, private equity, or strategy/value creation roles within industry.
• Strong capability in analysis and financial modelling.
• Prior involvement in transactions, investment work, or strategic projects.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• English fluency is mandatory; knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.
