Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive due diligence processes including financial assessments, evaluating management teams, conducting market research, and performing risk analyses to determine deal viability.
- Develop financial models and forecast cash flows to evaluate potential revenue sharing and repayment feasibility under the RBF framework.
- Implement credit scoring systems to appraise the creditworthiness and risks associated with target companies.
- Prepare detailed investment memos consolidating due diligence outcomes, financial projections, and strategic relevance.
- Perform thorough market research to identify investment opportunities that correspond with the fund’s strategy.
- Evaluate incoming pitch decks and business plans quickly to assess their fit with investment criteria and summarize promising deals for senior leadership review.
- Oversee the deal pipeline, tracking progress and ensuring smooth advancement through various investment stages.
- Monitor financial and operational performance of portfolio companies using established metrics.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies on financial restructuring, capital allocation, and growth plans, especially during financial challenges or downturns.
- Prepare quarterly reports on portfolio status, highlighting achievements, obstacles, and recommendations for management and limited partners.
- Assist in planning and implementing exit strategies, including secondary sales, mergers, or acquisitions.
- Manage default risks by supporting turnaround initiatives, renegotiating repayment terms, and restructuring debt to improve recovery outcomes.
- Ensure strict adherence to loan covenants and financing agreements, coordinating with legal teams to enforce conditions when needed.
- Work with legal counsel and external agents to maximize recovery from non-performing loans.
- Lead the financial restructuring of portfolio companies facing distress, including renegotiating terms and designing long-term recovery plans.
- Contribute to internal fund reporting and keep senior leadership informed of fund performance and deal flow.
- Mentor junior analysts, guiding their efforts in financial modeling, research, and due diligence activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; an MBA or CFA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in banking, private equity, venture capital, impact investing, or management consulting with focus on financial modeling, debt structuring, due diligence, and analytical tasks.
- Advanced skills in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.
- Deep knowledge of debt instruments, credit analysis, securitization, and valuation techniques.
- Strong capabilities in analysis, communication, and delivering presentations.
- Ability to manage workload independently and collaboratively while handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
