About the Role
Mackie Myers is collaborating with a rapidly expanding organisation to recruit an Investment Analyst for their growing finance team. This role presents an excellent chance to participate in a period of substantial growth, assist an ambitious acquisition plan, and work closely with senior leaders on key strategic investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models including valuation, leveraged buyout (LBO), returns, and consolidation models.
- Support ongoing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals from the identification of targets all the way through to deal closure.
- Coordinate financial, commercial, legal, and operational due diligence efforts with both internal teams and external advisors.
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities, examine potential synergies, and prepare well-founded investment recommendations.
- Draft investment committee documentation, transaction summaries, and presentation materials.
- Track acquisition pipelines, monitor market activities, and identify new investment prospects.
- Contribute to post-acquisition integration processes and continuous performance monitoring.
- Provide assistance with strategic financial analyses and other project work as needed.
Candidate Profile
- At least four years of experience in private equity, M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, or a comparable deal-related environment.
- Proficient in building financial models related to valuation, LBO, and returns analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting or leading M&A transactions from initial assessment through completion.
- Extensive due diligence experience across financial and commercial areas.
- Strong commercial insight and analytical capabilities.
- Effective communicator with senior stakeholders, capable of presenting complex financial data clearly.
- Self-driven, well-organized, and adept at juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Holds a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field, or possesses equivalent professional experience.
- Qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA, or progress toward one, are beneficial but not mandatory.
