About the Role

This position involves supporting the Allocation Planning team within the Canada Planning and Merchandising group, a compact team focused on strategically transferring inventory from distribution centers to retail outlets across the country. The Inventory Planner's key responsibility is to ensure innovative product assortments reach stores effectively, meeting consumer demand through accurate inventory placement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Distribution Center (DC) and Multi-Process Operator (MPO) teams to enter purchase orders (POs) and maintain DC visibility of inventory.
  • Develop expertise in systems including SAP, MMX, Krunch, Retail Pro, and Generator, enabling effective troubleshooting support.
  • Manage daily operations within the Allocation team by uploading allocations and communicating updates to DC teams.
  • Ensure that PO quantities in Retail Pro correspond with SAP data following MPO order postings on a daily basis.
  • Assist with forecasting and respond to business performance and stock levels to recommend replenishment quantities.
  • Support Allocation and Planning teams by updating reports and resolving data integrity issues as they arise.
  • Help determine optimal inventory levels per store or service hub by style and color, aligned with business strategies.
  • Address inventory discrepancies for Not-for-Sale (NFS) store teams through Retail Pro.
  • Enhance Allocation Planning processes by collaborating with technology and team members to improve operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory planning or merchandising data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent experience with at least 2 years additional relevant experience if degree is not held.
  • Proficient with large datasets handling, data entry, purchase orders, SKU management, and retail math.
  • Ability to identify data inconsistencies, ensure data integrity, and recommend improvements for smoother procedures.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and familiarity with retail environments; experience in fast-paced contexts is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively under ambiguity with a consumer-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of retail/digital metrics such as sell-through, turn, average sale price (ASP), and units per transaction (UPT).
  • Strong communication skills using virtual collaboration tools like Slack, Email, and Zoom.
