About the Role
Lovely Professional University invites applications for a seasoned professional to lead its International Placements and Global Corporate Outreach department, situated in Jalandhar, Punjab. The incumbent will be responsible for constructing a robust international placement network to facilitate global employment opportunities, establishing strategic corporate alliances, bolstering alumni engagement, and enhancing the employability prospects of both Indian and international students.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement an all-encompassing international placement strategy promoting global career opportunities.
- Create sustainable employment paths for Indian students in foreign job markets and support international students’ job placements in their home countries leveraging employer and alumni connections.
- Expand the university's global placement presence by exploring new geographic zones, industries, and employer sectors.
- Build and sustain partnerships with multinational corporations, global employers, recruitment firms, staffing agencies, and industry associations.
- Lead employer acquisition efforts to create international internships, graduate schemes, and full-time job opportunities.
- Represent the university at international recruitment fairs and industry events to position it as a preferred talent collaborator.
- Identify, onboard, and manage global recruitment consultants and agencies, negotiating contracts to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and sustain strategic partnerships, MoUs, and collaborations with international universities, corporations, chambers of commerce, and government entities to facilitate joint initiatives.
- Design and implement student preparation programs for global employability, including career readiness, interview training, cross-cultural communication, professional etiquette, resume and LinkedIn optimization, communication skills, and country-specific employment practices.
- Monitor trends in global labor markets, immigration policies, salary standards, and workforce dynamics, providing data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with international recruitment laws, visa requirements, oversee documentation, contracts, onboarding, and assist students with overseas employment and relocation processes.
- Strengthen global alumni networks to support mentoring, referrals, and career opportunities via alumni engagement initiatives.
- Track and report key performance indicators related to placements, analyze employer satisfaction, placement success metrics, and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, collaborating with various university departments and external stakeholders including corporate leaders, governments, embassies, and trade organizations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Management, International Business, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Corporate Relations, Education Management, or related fields.
- International certifications and overseas experience are advantageous.
- 12 to 20+ years managing international placements, corporate relations, global recruitment, talent acquisition, business development, career services, or higher education partnerships.
- Proven track record in building international employer networks and global placement opportunities.
- Experience handling global collaborations, MoUs, and strategic partnerships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international labor markets, mobility frameworks, visa processes, and recruitment practices.
