Job description
Job Overview
Reporting to the I&C Section Head and Maintenance Manager, this role involves planning and overseeing all preventive and corrective maintenance as well as monthly and annual outages and overhauling activities related to Instrumentation and Control (I&C) equipment within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Delegate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks following Section Head guidance.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance team activities to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain detailed records, generate reports, and handle related correspondence regarding maintenance work.
- Execute maintenance work orders via CMMS (SAP) and liaise with planning engineers to ensure job completion and address technical issues.
- Maintain necessary communications to update on action status and ensure corrective measures are implemented timely.
- Assist Maintenance Manager with corrective and planned maintenance respecting the annual maintenance schedule.
- Evaluate technical quotations from the purchasing department and provide recommendations.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables, ensuring compliance with budgets and availability of strategic spares for maintenance needs.
- Review and suggest improvements to maintenance procedures and work instructions.
- Supervise, manage, and coordinate personnel under their control.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
IMS and Compliance
- Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessments are conducted, controlled, and regularly updated.
- Implement, monitor, and report Integrated Management System (IMS) objectives, targets, and programs.
- Allocate necessary resources to support effective IMS implementation and sustainability.
- Periodically report IMS performance to management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal, contractual, and organizational requirements.
- Identify root causes for non-conformances and deviations, and oversee corrective and preventive actions.
Team Development and Performance
- Identify competency gaps among subordinates and implement corrective training plans.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals for reporting employees.
- Provide on-the-job training to new hires and evaluate their performance during training.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (B.E)
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance or operations, preferably within power plants, RO plants, or similar environments.
