About the role
This is a great chance to join a fast-growing international business and take the next step in your career. The company has a turnover of more than £2 billion and is looking for someone who can support high standards of hygiene within its factory operations.
What you will do
- Carry out the full set of daily cleaning tasks listed in the washer-area cleaning plan.
- Clean two grader lanes each evening.
- Keep the floor space and the grids beneath the washers free from all potatoes and debris.
- Use all chemicals in line with COSHH requirements and make sure chemicals and equipment are kept tidy, hygienic, and stored in the correct cupboards.
- Complete daily paperwork accurately and report any issues or damage noticed during cleaning to the team leaders.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate should have factory experience, preferably with a background in hygiene work. A solid understanding of workplace health and safety is important, along with the ability to work efficiently, follow instructions, and contribute well in a team. The business is also open to providing any role-specific training that may be needed.
Desirable qualifications and knowledge
- Food Safety Level 1, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
- COSHH certification is preferred.
