Overview
We are looking for an experienced HRIS leader specializing in Workday to guide and support HR technology efforts. This role involves working closely with various HR teams to configure, optimize, and deliver effective Workday solutions across modules such as Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, and Security. The position is contract-to-hire and requires onsite presence three days a week in Charlotte, NC (preferred), Boston, MA, or London, UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the functional lead and expert for Workday and HR technology projects.
- Engage in hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and support across multiple Workday modules.
- Manage system enhancements, releases, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to HRIS team members regarding solution design, configuration, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, HR, and Talent teams to deliver efficient Workday implementations.
- Work alongside technical teams to define requirements, support integrations, conduct testing, and manage deployments.
- Support release activities, new feature adoption, and ensure production system readiness.
- Conduct impact assessments, root cause analyses, and configuration audits.
- Create detailed documentation, test plans, and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Advise on Workday best practices and identify optimization opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Over seven years of HRIS experience with deep knowledge of Workday.
- Proven background supporting multiple Workday areas including Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Security, and Payroll.
- Comprehensive understanding of Workday configuration, business processes, reporting, security, and testing strategies.
- Experienced in constructing reports, dashboards, calculated fields, EIBs, and advancing data projects.
- Strong collaboration skills with both business and technical teams.
- Proven ability to coach and develop HRIS analysts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

- Candidates located in Charlotte, NC area are highly preferred; Boston, MA or London, UK are also considered.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite per week.
