Core Responsibilities

  • Provide support for recruitment including setting up requisitions, posting jobs, communicating with candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing pre-employment paperwork.
  • Manage onboarding processes from offer acceptance to employee start date, including coordinating ADP workflows, verifying I-9 documentation, and collaborating with teams for payroll setup, system access, and equipment provisioning.
  • Handle offboarding procedures, status changes, and payroll-related actions such as final pay, paid time off settlements, deductions, and maintaining related records.
  • Maintain HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now by updating employee data, managing records, storing documents, and generating ongoing or special HR reports.
  • Support administration of benefits, 401(k) plans, leaves of absence, enrollments, qualifying events, employee inquiries, vendor interactions, and eligibility tracking.
  • Assist with compliance for a multi-state operation covering ACA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, ADA, HIPAA, paid leave laws, workers’ compensation, and federal contract requirements like the Service Contract Act and wage determination tracking.
  • Provide assistance on employee relations matters including documentation of performance issues, disciplinary actions, accommodations, and terminations, escalating as necessary to HR leadership.
  • Coordinate HR communications, documentation of processes, assignment of training, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing employee experience and operational consistency.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Deep knowledge of fundamental HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, records management, benefits administration, leave handling, payroll support, compliance, and employee relations documentation.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or equivalent HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office suite, and document management systems like SharePoint.
  • Strong communication skills, highly organized, and reliable follow-through with the ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment while ensuring accurate, audit-ready records and raising compliance issues appropriately.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred, though equivalent HR experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as an HR Generalist or in HR operations, with at least one year using ADP Workforce Now or comparable systems; ADP experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in multi-state compliance, ideally with federal contracting knowledge including Service Contract Act administration, wage determinations, and coordination between HR and Accounting departments.
  • Preferred certification includes SHRM-CP or PHR credentials.
