About the Role
A leading luxury hospitality brand based in Dubai is seeking a proactive and people-oriented Human Resources Business Partner. This role goes beyond traditional HR functions by serving as a strategic advisor working closely with operational leaders. You will influence key business decisions and positively impact the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, linking people management strategies to overall business goals, including workforce planning and organizational design.
- Take responsibility for the annual HR budgeting process, manpower forecasting, and continuously monitoring expenditure to ensure efficient staffing aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations to adjust staffing models based on seasonal demand and growth forecasts to maintain optimum workforce size and skill set while managing costs.
- Handle complex employee relations issues, including conflicts, grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations with fairness and in accordance with local labor laws and company policies.
- Coach managers on managing sensitive employee conversations and prevention methods to promote early issue resolution and workplace harmony.
- Oversee all stages of the talent management lifecycle: recruiting, developing, mentoring, performance management, and retention strategies.
- Establish real succession plans and leadership development pathways, integrating them with organizational growth strategies.
- Partner with Learning & Development teams to implement impactful employee training and development initiatives.
- Provide managerial support on performance, team dynamics, and people-related decisions, ensuring competitive compensation and benefits frameworks.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within hiring, engagement, and talent development processes.
- Utilize HR analytics such as turnover rates, engagement levels, and performance data to deliver actionable insights and inform proactive decision-making.
- Support organizational change initiatives by guiding teams through transitions with effective communication and engagement tactics.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small HR team, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to deliver meaningful impact across departments.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of five years’ experience in human resources, including at least two years functioning as a strategic business partner.
- Background in hospitality, luxury brands, or customer-centric service industries is highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in employee relations, grievance management, recruitment, performance management, HR budgeting, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or CIPD are advantageous but not mandatory.
Personal Attributes
- Excellent communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Comfortable engaging at all levels, from senior executives to frontline employees.
- Exhibits emotional intelligence, discretion, and maturity when handling sensitive issues.
- Maintains composure under pressure, with a focus on solutions and constructive challenges to existing procedures.
- Balances data-driven decision-making with empathy and people-centric leadership.
