Position Overview
Cleanaway Waste Management is seeking skilled HR Drivers to join our Cairns depot team, following the award of a long-term council contract effective from December 1st. Successful candidates will start paid training in November, either locally in Cairns or by traveling to Brisbane for a week, with all associated expenses covered by Cleanaway.
Job Details
- Permanent, full-time role based in Cairns, QLD
- Hourly wage of $35.77 plus superannuation starting October 2026
- Minimum 38 working hours per week plus overtime penalties
- Includes induction, training, and uniforms provided
Key Responsibilities
Operating waste collection vehicles such as rear lift, side lift, and front lift trucks to service customers in the region.
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least an HR License
- Maintain a good driving and traffic history
- Dependable, positive attitude, and eager to learn
- Pass pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening
- Available for November training in Cairns or Brisbane
- Prior waste industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
