Hourly Full-Time Merchandiser

About the Role

Become an integral part of a locally owned and operated store in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, offering health, beauty, and convenience to your community, with the customer as your priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain backroom products following Backroom Inventory Management processes.
• Utilize PDT and MMS systems daily to complete assigned tasks.
• Manage product exit strategies and returns as directed.
• Develop expertise in specific inventory areas, focusing on accurate product placement and expiry monitoring.
• Keep store visuals aligned with brand image and current trends, ensuring product displays are appealing and easy for customers to shop.
• Receive merchandise according to company policies, maintaining documentation and orderly backroom arrangement.
• Assist store leadership in upholding product quality and store standards.
• Provide customer assistance proactively while maintaining a clean, professional appearance adhering to uniform and dress code.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, store standards, and loss prevention procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Highly organized, efficient, and neat in work practices.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations on the sales floor.
• Experience handling cash transactions with accuracy (if applicable).
• Basic computer skills and experience operating a cash register.
• Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping abilities.
• Capable of working independently and self-motivated.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
• Physical capability to lift items up to 50 pounds and climb ladders as needed.
