Role Overview

The full-time Hostel Warden position for the boys’ hostel, based on-site in Lucknow, encompasses overseeing daily hostel affairs and maintaining a secure, orderly, and nurturing residential atmosphere. Key duties involve regulating hostel entry and exit, supervising daily routines and discipline, overseeing cleanliness and upkeep of living and common spaces, and managing attendance records. The warden serves as a primary point of contact for student concerns, guiding them in personal behavior and time management, and collaborates closely with school administration, teaching personnel, and support staff to ensure hostel operations run seamlessly.

Handling emergencies, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring strict compliance with school guidelines are crucial. Regular communication with parents or guardians, comprehensive record maintenance of hostel activities, and active participation in school programs related to residential life also form integral aspects of this role.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in managing boarding or residential facilities, including overseeing student supervision and daily schedule coordination.
• Expertise in maintaining discipline, resolving conflicts, and fostering a calm, fair, and supportive environment for young students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively interact with students, parents, staff, and support personnel.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing safety measures, security, and basic emergency response within an educational or residential context.
• Proficient organizational and documentation skills for tracking attendance, incident reports, and other hostel records.
• Capability to commit to on-site presence during long and flexible hours such as early mornings, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
• Preferred experience includes previous work in school hostels or comparable residential educational settings.
• At least a graduation degree in any discipline; additional training in counseling, child psychology, or education is advantageous.
• A dedicated focus on child safety, welfare, and supporting a holistic developmental approach in a modern boarding school environment.
