Position Overview
The Home Equity Loan Closer is responsible for coordinating loan closing schedules with members and collaborating closely with title companies to expedite processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify that all files and documentation comply fully with company, investor, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure documents are prepared within required turnaround times and meet set deadlines consistently.
- Process at least three files daily during normal operations and adjust to variable file volume targets as directed.
- Review and approve Closing Disclosure statements accurately.
- Arrange loan closing appointments with borrowers effectively.
- Prepare all necessary closing documentation.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the loan lifecycle to understand closing function outcomes thoroughly.
- Maintain precise filing of documents and data within systems, utilizing checklists and aids to guarantee completion and accuracy.
- Coordinate communication with processing, underwriting, and post-closing teams to resolve and finalize closing details.
Requirements
- Familiarity with TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) guidelines.
- Experience with Conventional loans and FHA/VA loans is advantageous.
- Preferred knowledge of Encompass loan origination software.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize to fulfill deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and location. A comprehensive benefits package is available to all employees.
