Job description
Role Overview
This position involves assembling, setting up, and repairing key hardware components such as routers, switches, access points, and client workstations. The engineer will also provide support to clients by deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting essential business applications. A solid grasp of networking principles including IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and the OSI model is required.
Technical Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair network hardware infrastructure including firewall devices and camera access control systems.
- Deploy and troubleshoot cabling and networking equipment such as routers and switches.
- Provide application support for network-related software and client configurations.
- Handle basic setups and technical assistance for enterprise software tools and network-dependent applications.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Good understanding of networking concepts: IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, OSI model.
- Experience with network infrastructure hardware installation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with network-related application configuration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on skills with cable and router/switch deployment.
