Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced grid connection planning specialist to oversee and improve the grid connection processes for ground-mounted photovoltaic, wind, and energy storage initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with grid operators to advance our renewable projects, based in Berlin.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of grid connection planning for renewable projects in medium and high voltage ranges.
- Secure grid connections for new projects and maintain interfaces with grid operators.
- Engage in discussions regarding connection applications, grid points, standards, and certifications on an equal basis with stakeholders.
- Optimize grid and cable routing from project sites to network connection points, evaluating technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop concept studies, energy yield simulations, preliminary design plans for approvals and implementation, and component and substation cost estimations.
- Evaluate plans and solutions proposed by third parties including development partners and acquisitions.
- Expand expertise on relevant system components and stay current with technical and regulatory updates and standards.
- Maintain intensive collaboration with grid operators and associated organizations.
- Ensure effective cooperation within the internal development team and external partners.

Required Skills and Experience
- Proven professional experience in grid connection planning across various voltage levels.
- Fluency in German; English proficiency is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the German electricity market and regional energy sector.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, and E-Plan software tools.
- Strong understanding of current grid connection standards (VDE-AR-N-4110/4120/4130).
