Graphic Designer

About the Role

FASTSIGNS is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join their team in Melbourne, Victoria. This role involves creating vibrant computer-generated full-color graphics and vinyl outputs for printing and substrate mounting or for weeding, cutting, and application. The designer will transform customer drawings, files, or designs into final media outputs and arrange layouts based on available space, aesthetic considerations, and production needs. The role also includes inspecting jobs for accuracy, ensuring correct materials and output settings, and maintaining the customer logo library with file conversions.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate full-color computer graphics and vinyl output for production use.
• Adapt or complete designs from clients' drawings or files for media output.
• Determine size, layout, typography style, and arrangement considering space and design aesthetics.
• Inspect job accuracy and verify proper material usage and output device configurations.
• Maintain and update the customer logo database and handle graphic file conversions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess 1 to 2 years of experience in graphic design.
• Hold a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and familiar with Adobe Photoshop.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and function independently.
• Capable of deciding the appropriate output method depending on customer requirements.
• Capable of sitting and viewing a computer screen for extended periods (4 hours or longer).
• Ability to handle work pressure to deliver high-quality and high-volume outputs.
