Graphic Artist

Job Overview

This role reports to the Art Manager and involves creating electronic artwork designed for imprinting on promotional products, collaborating closely with customer service to ensure customer expectations and vendor requirements are met. The position initially requires in-person training followed by eligibility to work remotely within Wisconsin. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Background checks, education verification, references, and drug screening are part of pre-employment requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Refine faxed and bitmapped customer logos or copy for clarity.
• Perform typesetting and produce proofs for client orders.
• Create line illustrations derived from photos or other references.
• Convert various file formats into vector-based images for art production.
• Edit existing images or layouts for application on diverse promotional products.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements relevant to the role.
• Engage in ongoing training and seek professional growth opportunities.

• Is well-organized with strong attention to detail.
• Possesses strong illustration skills and proficiency with computer-generated production art.

Qualifications

• At least a two-year degree in Graphic Arts or comparable experience.
• One to two years of relevant field experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw and Photoshop, staying current with software updates.
• Familiar with production art terminology and related computer-generated techniques.
• Knowledge of imprinting processes and promotional product industry experience is advantageous.
• Physical requirements necessitate the ability to perform essential duties; accommodations available as needed.

Work Environment and Additional Information

• Regular, dependable attendance is required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills needed.
• Ability to input data accurately.
• Position allows for a hybrid work setting with the option to work remotely within Wisconsin after initial training; onsite presence at Oshkosh, WI offices may be necessary at times.
