About the Opportunity

The Finance Graduate position at Lovisa Pty Ltd is an integral part of their structured Finance Graduate Development Program, aimed at assisting recent graduates in transitioning smoothly from university life into professional finance roles. Over a period of 18 to 24 months, graduates will gain extensive experience through hands-on work across critical finance areas, receive mentoring from senior leaders, participate in various technical and interpersonal skills training, and contribute to vital finance projects within the organization.

Rotational Assignments

• Engage in rotations covering Banking and Treasury, Accounts Payable, Occupancy Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Retail and Online Accounting, Financial Accounting, Statutory Accounting, Taxation, and Audit.
• Handle daily and monthly banking duties such as bank reconciliations, cash management, loss prevention reporting, and other related tasks.
• Support procure-to-pay procedures including supplier reconciliation, invoice verification, payment runs, expense reimbursements, and maintenance of internal controls.
• Manage property accounting responsibilities including invoice processing, accruals, prepayments, ProLease administration, month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, landlord and stakeholder communication, and involvement in AASB16 reporting compliance.
• Assist with budgeting processes, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly management accounting reports.
• Conduct retail and e-commerce financial analyses like weekly sales and wage reporting, forecasting, store bonus calculations, financial modeling, and scenario planning.
• Help with financial accounting and risk activities involving fixed asset management, depreciation, GST/VAT returns, payroll reconciliations, audits, risk assessments, compliance checks, and internal control adherence.
• Contribute to statutory accounting, tax compliance, auditing, preparation of financial statements, intercompany transactions, and journal processes.

Candidate Profile

• Recent graduate holding a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related disciplines.
• Good grasp of accounting principles with eagerness to develop skills across multiple finance functions.
• Excellent attention to detail and accountability for assigned tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines within a fast-moving environment.
• Curiosity, proactive attitude, and willingness to learn through practical experience, constructive feedback, and mentoring.
• Effective communication abilities to establish relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Flexible, adaptable, inclusive team player committed to embodying the company’s culture values.
• Interest in pursuing professional accounting certifications such as CA or CPA where applicable.
