Role Overview

We are looking to hire a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) expert to manage and enhance Binance's presence and authoritative citations on AI-driven search platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude. This individual contributor role will collaborate closely with the Content, Technology, and Data teams to establish GEO as a key, measurable acquisition channel by bridging citation disparities with competitors and securing definitional authority in AI-generated cryptocurrency content.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Binance’s visibility and citation dominance in AI-generated outputs across major large language models (LLMs) at scale.
• Develop and upkeep llms.txt files, structured data, and knowledge graph signals for all main website sections, ensuring regional adaptations where necessary.
• Establish GEO as a dedicated acquisition channel with comprehensive tracking of impressions, citations, and referral attribution, creating measurement frameworks where none currently exist.
• Convert AI citation shortfalls into actionable content needs, integrating GEO practices seamlessly into Content, Tech, and Data team workflows.
• Conduct ongoing prompt testing and citation audits on LLMs to ensure effectiveness and detect performance regressions.
• Benchmark GEO positioning against competitors like Coinbase, Kraken, OKX, Bybit, and Crypto.com, translating insights into prioritized gap-closure strategies.
• Analyze detailed log and query data to understand AI crawler activities, citation trends, and identify structural content deficiencies.
• Monitor emerging trends in GEO and AI search—such as LLM retrieval methods, multimodal search advances, entity authority, and E-E-A-T for AI platforms—and create actionable frameworks to inform the SEO team.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5–6 years practical SEO experience including enterprise-level technical SEO.
• Deep, functional understanding of LLM content retrieval, weighting, and citation mechanics, including architectures like RAG and citation patterns across AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude); beyond basic AI tool usage.
• Demonstrated ability to independently define and lead GEO/technical SEO strategy rather than just implementing existing plans.
• Expert-level knowledge in structured data, schema markup, entity-focused content structures, and knowledge graph utilization.
• Proficient in crawl and indexing processes, log file analytics, and capable of extracting large-scale insights with tools like Python or SQL.
• Experience designing and implementing measurement frameworks and attribution models for emerging channels without prior tools.
• Background operating in enterprise cross-functional settings involving Content, Technology, Data, and Compliance teams rather than solo or agency roles.
• Experience in crypto, fintech, or regulated industries is highly desirable.
