Overview
Tesla is looking for an energetic General Manager to oversee all facets of operations including team leadership, process improvement, and system management for delivering parts to customers. This leadership role is essential for driving exceptional supply chain initiatives across multiple programs, supporting upcoming product launches, and fostering continuous enhancements within the region as service capacity expands. The position requires strategic planning, operational acumen, and technological proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and achieve measurable objectives for safety, customer satisfaction, and productivity
- Promote innovation and ongoing enhancement in distribution operations through adoption of new technologies and improvements in productivity
- Support scalable growth by developing and empowering team members for success
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste and elevate process performance
- Form and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and customers both upstream and downstream
- Ensure punctual shipping and product availability that meets quality and cost targets
- Manage product workflows and institute process upgrades to boost efficiency and accommodate new products and services growth
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or comparable experience demonstrating outstanding capability
- Over 6 years of management experience overseeing operations with at least 200 salaried and hourly staff members in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics
- Proven success leading through performance metrics, process enhancement, and Lean Six Sigma practices with strong peer influence and continuous improvement drive
- Resilient and adaptive leader able to operate urgently and thrive amid change
- Strong customer focus aimed at optimizing throughput and leveraging essential support personnel to achieve efficient operations
- Data-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining safety and customer experience priorities
