Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned GCP Cloud Architect to spearhead the design, development, and management of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructures on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This position demands leadership in cloud-native transformations, ensuring optimal availability and performance while strictly following security and governance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy highly resilient, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions using GCP technologies.
• Establish and enforce security and governance policies including IAM, VPC Service Controls, and data protection standards.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies via Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
• Lead cloud migration from on-premises systems to GCP platforms.
• Design and operate containerized ecosystems using Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Drive cost optimization initiatives through capacity right-sizing, auto-scaling, and financial operations (FinOps) practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams encompassing development, operations, and security to integrate cloud-based solutions seamlessly.
• Produce detailed architectural documentation such as solution designs, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures while mentoring junior cloud engineers.

Mandatory Skills

• Extensive experience with core GCP services including Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud security frameworks with strong capabilities in IAM, VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Center.
• Proven expertise in cloud cost management, resource optimization, auto-scaling, and financial governance.
• Proficient in container technology and orchestration tools with a focus on Docker and GKE.
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Strong networking fundamentals covering VPC, subnets, firewall rules, load balancing, and DNS within cloud contexts.
• Hands-on with cloud-based databases and migration approaches including Cloud SQL, Spanner, and Bigtable.
• At least 7 years of professional IT experience with 4+ years dedicated to GCP cloud architecture.
• Required certification: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Security Engineer.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment tools such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to other cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
• Experience working with serverless technologies like Cloud Functions and Cloud Run.
• Background in large-scale cloud migration efforts.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation proficiency.
