Role Overview

The Produce Clerk position requires the individual to competently perform all responsibilities associated with the role efficiently and professionally. Key duties include delivering excellent customer service, fostering customer loyalty, fulfilling produce-related customer demands, and actively contributing to creating a welcoming work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety guidelines, and corporate policies diligently.
• Handle ordering, receiving, preparing, and merchandising produce products in compliance with company inventory control standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to satisfy customer requirements.
• Boost store sales by promoting featured produce items.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper presentation of back shop and retail floor areas as per company standards.
• Prepare produce orders for customers as necessary.
• Manage department shrink processes as required.
• Assist in training new or junior team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with above-average proficiency.
• Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and reaching.

Additional Information & Terms

Travel requirements for this role range from 0 to 10%. The position is based at our Truro, Nova Scotia store located at 0594 Robie Street.

Successful candidates will be asked to provide legal documentation verifying their eligibility to work during onboarding. The employer reviews this documentation prior to employment commencement.
