Full Stack Software Engineer

About the Role

DomainTools is looking to hire a Software Engineer for their Frontend Team to contribute to innovative cybersecurity products designed for enterprise users. These solutions aid critical operations such as threat intelligence gathering, threat hunting, and online fraud investigations. The engineer will collaborate with a skilled team of developers to create modern JavaScript single-page applications supported by PHP middleware APIs. Productivity is emphasized with minimal meetings and streamlined processes that prioritize high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code following best software development practices.
• Integrate backend services and manage data from databases effectively.
• Develop web applications utilizing PHP on the backend and JavaScript (ES7+), HTML5, and CSS3 on the frontend.
• Engage in both new product ideation and enhancement of existing features.
• Participate actively in code reviews, technical documentation, and provide constructive feedback on designs.
• Become an expert on DomainTools' suite of customer-facing products and services.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in modern web application development.
• Proficiency with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Strong expertise in Object Oriented PHP (version 7+), JavaScript (ES7+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• In-depth knowledge of React 18+ and Redux frameworks.
• Experience with unit and integration testing tools like PHPUnit and Jest.
• Demonstrated ability in building and integrating APIs.
• Familiarity with version control using Git.
• Experience working with container technologies, especially Docker.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of configuring Babel, Webpack, and ESLint.
• Experience with orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
• Skilled in user acceptance and end-to-end testing tools such as TestCafe and Playwright.
• Experience working with relational databases like MySQL.
• Understanding of UX design principles.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
