Tata Technologies is hiring a Fuel Engineer for an on-site role in Pune District, Maharashtra. The position focuses on CAD design, powertrain integration, and fuel system work within an automotive engineering environment.

Scope of work
The role covers CAD, powertrain integration, and fuel system design support.
Responsibilities
- Build, revise, and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies for fuel system parts in CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Prepare 2D drawings that follow proper GD&T, tolerance, and automotive drafting standards.
- Work on fuel tanks, fuel lines, pumps, rails, filters, valves, brackets, and mounting parts.
- Assist with packaging and interface integration at the powertrain and vehicle level.
- Run interference checks, assess clearances, and validate mass properties.
- Carry out engineering change implementation across the design cycle from KO to SOP.
- Keep CAD output aligned with OEM standards, best practices, and naming rules.
- Coordinate with module leads, system engineers, and manufacturing teams.
- Contribute to DFMEA, design reviews, and prototype or vehicle build support.
- Exchange CAD information with suppliers and perform quality checks on incoming updates.
- Release CAD data through PLM tools as per project milestones.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong automotive background with hands-on exposure to fuel system commodities.
- Ability to support or lead design reviews and change activities while balancing feasibility and timelines.
- Capability to complete CAD deliverables on time for S/T/P releases.
- Understanding of commodity release and change control processes.
- Knowledge of Proto and Production BOM.
- Advanced 2D and 3D skills in CATIA V5 and CATIA V6.
- Experience with PLM tools such as TeamCenter.
- Strong grasp of GD&T.
- Comfortable using MS tools such as SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
