About the Role

Acro Commerce is currently seeking a Front End Developer to craft and maintain exceptional e-commerce user experiences. The ideal candidate is proficient in React and comfortable collaborating with internal teams as well as clients. You excel at translating Figma designs into fast, pixel-perfect, componentized interfaces and notice subtle design inconsistencies proactively. You take pride in your work but maintain a humble attitude.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and sustain front-end applications mainly using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, converting designs from Figma into clean, reusable, and well-tested components.
Implement modifications and updates to existing web applications and websites.
Manage multiple tasks independently, ranging from small fixes to larger builds with dynamic priorities, ensuring timely delivery.
Produce high-quality outputs aligned with Acro Commerce's standards and production workflows.
Provide accurate time estimates for completing builds, fixing defects, or adding new features.
Identify and resolve code issues, even those originating from external sources, based on client feedback or bug reports.
Communicate effectively with account managers, supervisors, and clients about work progress, difficulties, and defects.
Offer peer support and mentorship to fellow developers while being open to seeking assistance as needed.

Candidate Profile

Portfolio or demonstrable code samples are required; formal education or prior experience is less important than proven ability to code.
Strong practical experience with React, skilled in building component-driven user interfaces and working within design systems or component libraries (experience with Storybook is advantageous).
Good design sensibility with the ability to spot and correct visual discrepancies in spacing, typography, hierarchy, and polish relative to Figma files.
Solid understanding of responsive and accessible front-end development principles, including basic knowledge of WCAG compliance.
Ability to write clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript without relying exclusively on frameworks when required.
Comfortable working with Linux shell environments and knowledgeable about Linux hosting is beneficial.
Proficiency with source control systems like Git and GitHub.
Openness to learning new languages and technologies; besides core skills in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, familiarity with JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, SASS/SCSS, Figma, Drupal, Shopify, WordPress, Docker, Lando is a plus.
Experience or interest in additional tools such as Cypress, React Testing Library, Bootstrap, MUI, npm, Yarn, Gulp, Grunt, Lighthouse, Google Analytics is welcome.
Strong internet connectivity and suitable hardware are necessary to participate in uninterrupted video calls.
Fluent English communication skills.

This is a remote role that requires proactive engagement, clear, frequent communication via chat, email, and video conferencing, and willingness to participate actively as part of the team beyond just completing tasks.
