Job Overview
Punderson Manor Lodge is seeking a friendly and energetic Front Desk Agent to join their hospitality team. This role involves managing guest accommodations, overseeing reservations, and serving as the primary contact to ensure guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay.
Core Duties
- Carry out check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Handle reservations received both online and via phone.
- Provide guests with payment options and verify credit card information.
- Gather essential guest details including contact info and stay dates during registration.
- Warmly welcome arriving guests and assign accommodation accordingly.
- Share information about hotel amenities, room availability, pricing, and services.
- Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to guarantee rooms are clean, well-stocked, and meet guest requirements.
- Manage group bookings and organize tailored services for VIPs and event attendees like weddings.
- Promote and upsell hotel facilities and extra services when appropriate.
- Keep detailed records of bookings and payment transactions up to date.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a hotel front desk agent, receptionist, or equivalent role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with hotel booking software such as StayNTouch and Silverware is advantageous.
- Strong background in customer service.
- Excellent verbal communication and organizational capabilities.
- Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and navigate stairs as required.
Additional Information
This position is temporary, with shift hours dependent on availability, requiring weekend work. The shifts available are from 7 AM to 3 PM and 3 PM to 11 PM.
