Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Forklift Operator responsible for operating forklifts and related machinery safely and efficiently within warehouse and loading zones. Daily responsibilities include receiving shipments, organizing incoming goods, transporting materials to storage locations, preparing outbound orders with accurate packing and staging, and verifying item quantities and labels. Maintaining tidiness and order in the work area and adhering to stringent safety protocols and equipment inspections are essential. Collaboration with warehouse and logistics staff ensures smooth and timely material handling and dispatch operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience safely operating forklifts, including maneuvering, loading, and stacking materials
- Possession of a valid forklift operator license or certification
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards, including routine equipment inspections and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving practices such as documentation verification, quantity checks, and coordinating inbound/outbound inventory
- Capability to load, move, and organize materials safely and effectively, including sorting and placement
- Competence in packing orders, labeling, and securing items for shipment
- Familiarity with warehouse or logistics operations and basic inventory management procedures
- Basic literacy and numeracy to read work instructions, labels, and inventory data
- Physical fitness to stand for long durations and handle materials within standard weight constraints
- Strong dedication, discipline, reliability, and keen attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse team environments
