About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia supports the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) by providing maintenance and training services under UK Government contracts. This role supports the national agenda by fostering Saudisation and enhancing the capabilities of Saudi partner companies, focusing on the industrialization and partnerships within the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of safety and fire protection for RSAF, including management, training, quality assurance, logistics, supply, maintenance, engineering, facility support, and resources.
  • Coordinate with Safety Wing and Fire Squadron Commanders to ensure compliance with airworthiness, fire, and safety regulations, and provide actionable recommendations to RSAF leadership.
  • Plan and direct fire operations, training programs, maintenance activities, engineering solutions, logistics support, and contractual matters within fire squadrons.
  • Act as the primary liaison for RSAF Fire Protection and Safety Programs, managing major high-value projects to meet RSAF's safety requirements in alignment with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ensure program compliance with RSAF policies, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) guidelines, and International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) curricula.
  • Engage with RSAF-HQ, Ministry of Defense SAP, US Military Training Mission, and private sector entities regarding program proposals, negotiations, and implementations while keeping the Director of Safety/Fire Protection informed.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of aviation and structural fire protection management, including maintenance and engineering practices, supported by international standards.
  • Lead and coordinate diverse multinational and multidisciplinary teams to solve complex aviation fire protection challenges strategically.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across RSAF units, including base safety wings, fire squadrons, training centers, and headquarters directorates to ensure unified objectives.
  • Establish and regularly review organizational structures and communication strategies to guarantee effective fire protection delivery.
  • Oversee technical assessment and validation of fire protection and safety project submissions aligned with RSAF needs.
  • Analyze program effectiveness, recommend policy improvements, and ensure adherence to approved safety standards across fire and safety squadrons.
  • Present strategic vision clearly and guide teams toward achieving organizational goals, providing expert advice to support RSAF's strategic decision making.
