FIG Investment Banking Analyst / Associate

About the Role

An Elite Boutique investment banking firm is looking to expand its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Fintech M&A team in London by recruiting Analysts and Associates. This team is among the most prominent FIG groups in Europe, specializing in advising on significant mergers, acquisitions, and strategic deals. The platform has seen considerable growth recently driven by senior hires and substantial investment in the FIG business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in executing complex FIG mergers and acquisitions across the European market.
• Develop and review intricate financial models including three-statement forecasts, discounted cash flow (DCF), merger models, and leveraged buyouts (LBOs).
• Prepare valuation assessments, marketing documents, and presentations for clients.
• Gain exposure in sectors such as insurance, wealth management, banking, and other capital-light FIG industries.

Candidate Profile

• Possess at least 1.5 years of experience in Investment Banking or M&A.
• Preferably have FIG M&A experience from a bulge bracket or a top-tier boutique firm.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in technical and financial modeling.
• Hold a robust academic background combined with excellent communication skills.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
