About the Role
The Field Supervisor at Mtandt Rentals Ltd is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring efficient management of operators and equipment, coordinating with various teams, and maintaining clear communication with customers to fulfill contract requirements effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor attendance and availability of operators at the site and maintain detailed reports.
- Analyze operator attendance sheets covering working hours, idle time, shortages, and equipment status includingBreakdowns and active rentals.
- Plan site activities prioritizing operational needs and project objectives.
- Follow up on equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs and reporting.
- Identify operator shortages across all supervisors and develop recruitment plans to address gaps.
- Coordinate operator training programs by working with training and resource teams to enhance competency and skills.
- Evaluate operator skills regularly and assign operators to various sites matching their capabilities and vacancy requirements.
- Engage proactively with customers to arrange and adjust operator deputations according to their needs.
- Review work and purchase orders to understand mandatory documentation for both operators and equipment.
- Liaise with the sales team to update and gather necessary compliance documents.
- Arrange critical equipment documentation such as Third Party Inspection (TPI), insurance, and pollution certificates.
- Procure and verify operator documents including TPI, experience certificates, and driving licenses.
- Organize and support third-party inspections of equipment and operators to meet customer standards.
- Understand and manage the logistics of loading and unloading equipment in coordination with customer requirements.
- Schedule site visits and arrange heavy machinery like hydras to assist in loading/unloading tasks, ensuring safety measures are strictly followed.
- Optimize allocated funds through exploring cost-effective options and bargaining for services.
- Conduct daily site visits and meetings with customers to gather feedback and address concerns.
- Plan and allocate funds for operators’ PPE, medical needs, travel, accommodation, and conveyance for daily operations.
- Manage fund distribution for loading/unloading activities and essential equipment maintenance including TPI, pollution checks, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.
- Ensure weekly submission of operator logsheets and daily attendance follow-ups.
- Collect, validate, and forward operator attendance records to HR on a monthly basis along with verifying overtime hours.
- Assign salary grades to new operators and adjust salaries of existing staff based on performance and competencies.
- Review operator performance monthly to maintain and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Handle collection, verification, and approval of monthly bills and claims related to operations.
- Coordinate with the zonal head for claim approvals and ensure timely courier of all claims and bills to the Delhi office.
- Work with the billing team to prepare operator summary reports and guarantee full certification and invoice validation for the designated region.
- Maintain ongoing customer communications to facilitate summary and invoice certifications.
