Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the upkeep, repairs, and cleanliness of the golf club’s indoor and outdoor spaces. The position ensures that the facilities are always functional, safe, and visually appealing, supporting a premium environment for members and guests. The attendant handles routine maintenance activities, facilitates repairs, coordinates projects, and collaborates with various departments to promptly address any facility-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness by vacuuming carpets, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors across all club areas including courts, fitness rooms, stairwells, lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
• Dust and clean furniture, shelves, fixtures, including chandeliers, artwork, televisions, woodwork, and HVAC registers.
• Ensure daily cleaning assignments meet club standards, including organizing workspaces, arranging entry areas, and trash removal.
• Perform or coordinate repairs and maintenance involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC equipment, carpentry, flooring, walls, ceilings, and other building components.
• Maintain a checklist and schedule for preventive maintenance and renovation projects.
• Communicate efficiently with supervisors to prioritize and document maintenance requests from department heads, members, and guests.
• Support other team members by taking on additional duties as required to meet club operations.
• Adhere strictly to all organizational policies, safety procedures, and promote a professional work environment.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain relevant certifications.
• Engage with regional and corporate teams to resolve facility challenges and support club functionality.
• Attend daily briefings to stay informed and collaborate with the team effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
• At least 3 years of experience in general facility maintenance, property upkeep, or within a golf club environment.
• Preferred skills include minor repairs in painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and adherence to OSHA and electrical codes.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Job involves frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional driving.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, fumes, or gases may occur.
• Physical tasks include squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping.
• Ability to lift or move weights up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Essential sensory abilities such as talking, hearing, and vision are required.

Primary Equipment Utilized

• Ladders, construction, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tools.
• Computer and various small maintenance instruments.

Work Schedule

• Adhering to an established weekly schedule with the flexibility to work beyond typical hours to meet deadlines.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as demanded by operational needs.
