About the Role
The Ontario Flue-Cured Tobacco Growers Marketing Board represents flue-cured tobacco farmers across Ontario, acting as an intermediary among government bodies, growers, and stakeholders to advocate for growers' interests. This Executive Assistant role plays a vital part in enhancing and supporting the Board's administrative activities, contributing to the seamless functioning of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the Annual General Meeting.
- Develop and manage a system for invoicing and collecting annual fees from growers.
- Review and update the Board's bylaws.
- Maintain communication channels and liaison efforts with the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission.
- Distribute communications to growers and manage related correspondence.
- Record and archive minutes from Board meetings and maintain documentation as required by provincial legislation.
- Oversee the operational budget including invoice review and payment processing.
- Maintain and update the Board’s official website.
- Provide additional support across various functions as necessary to meet team and organizational requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in an administrative or professional support capacity.
- A post-secondary degree relevant to the field.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer software, web management tools, and artificial intelligence applications.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and resolve problems proactively.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Tillsonburg, Ontario. The hourly wage ranges from $25 to $30, depending on experience.
