Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Estimator to join our team in Pinkenba, Queensland. This on-site position demands thorough vehicle damage assessments and precise repair cost estimations aligned with industry and insurer standards. Core responsibilities involve inspecting vehicles and images, analyzing repair documentation, determining required parts and labor, and inputting detailed estimates into management systems. The Estimator will collaborate with customers, technicians, and insurers to clarify repair scopes, timelines, and financial aspects, supporting an efficient repair process while maintaining high safety and quality benchmarks.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in evaluating vehicle damage and preparing comprehensive repair cost estimates through estimating software and related tools.
- Excellent communication and customer relations abilities for engaging clearly and professionally with clients, insurers, and workshop personnel.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management to juggle multiple estimates, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines under fast-paced conditions.
- Careful attention to detail and analytical capabilities to confirm parts, labor, materials, and compliance with safety and manufacturer or insurer requirements.
- Previous experience in automotive repair, collision estimating, or panel beating is advantageous.
- Comfortable using digital systems and basic computer applications for data entry and documentation.
- Dedication to delivering high-quality, safety-first repairs and continuous advancement in knowledge of vehicle technologies and repair methods.
- A relevant trade qualification, estimating certification, or substantial industry experience in automotive repair or collision estimation is preferred.
