Job description
Role Overview
Join the team at Canada's Wonderland as an Entertainment Costumer and Stitcher, providing exceptional costume support for guests enjoying the park. This unionized position offers hourly pay governed by the collective bargaining agreement with IATSE.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in assembling and maintaining costumes, worn props, masks, prosthetics, and fabric décor.
- Perform daily cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of assigned costumes ensuring high-quality appearance.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with guests and staff throughout the park.
- Comply with all safety protocols and park policies, particularly those of the Entertainment Department.
- Support Department Management with tasks such as cleaning break rooms and backstage areas, participating in rehearsals, meetings, and note sessions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current enrollment or graduation from a post-secondary program specializing in theatrical wardrobe, costume design, or fashion.
- Ability to operate industrial and domestic wardrobe equipment including sewing machines, sergers, irons, steamers, and laundry/maintenance tools.
- Proficient sewing skills across various fabrics including knits, plus strong hand sewing capabilities.
- Working knowledge of adhesives beneficial for costume maintenance.
- Good understanding of different fabrics and fabric care practices.
- Availability for flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Information
This is a union position managed by a collective bargaining agreement. In case of discrepancies, the agreement takes precedence over this offer. Canada's Wonderland spans over 300 acres with world-class rides, live shows, and water park attractions focused on creating memorable guest experiences.
