Engineer - EHS

Role Overview

The EHS Site Engineer supports the rollout and ongoing operation of environment, health, and safety practices at the project location. This position focuses on checking daily site conditions, making sure safety procedures are followed, spotting hazards early, and helping maintain a compliant and sustainable work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular checks across the site to identify risks, unsafe behavior, and hazardous conditions.
• Help ensure that all legal, regulatory, and internal safety standards are being followed, while keeping EHS records and documentation updated.
• Oversee contractor activities to confirm correct PPE use, safe work practices, and compliance with permit-to-work requirements.
• Assist with prompt logging and investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe situations, including supporting root cause analysis.
• Arrange and deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and daily safety briefings with the execution team.

Additional Information

This role is based at the Chennai project site and is centered on hands-on EHS monitoring, contractor coordination, incident response support, and environmental compliance activities.
