About the Role

International Water Distribution Co. (Tawzea) is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves ensuring optimal operation and maintenance of automation and control systems critical to wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and lift stations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on instrumentation and control systems to maintain their functionality.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in systems such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, RTU, VFD, and associated field instrumentation.
  • Calibrate, test, install, and commission field instruments including pressure, flow, level, temperature, and analytical devices.
  • Ensure automation and control systems operate reliably and efficiently in wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Monitor control system performance and propose measures to increase reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Interpret and utilize P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, control logic, and technical documents to guide maintenance tasks.
  • Perform routine inspections and functional tests of instrumentation and control hardware.
  • Maintain precise records of maintenance activities, calibration certificates, and reports using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to schedule and carry out maintenance with minimal disruption to plant functions.
  • Assist with installation, modification, and upgrades of instrumentation and control infrastructure.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, safety protocols, and relevant industry standards during all maintenance work.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in on-call maintenance duties as needed.
  • Identify and report spare parts needs along with equipment defects or repeated failures to supervisors.
  • Take part in system testing, commissioning, and performance verification following maintenance or installation projects.
  • Maintain workplace organization and ensure all tools, instruments, and testing equipment are properly calibrated and in good condition.
