Its guidelines are integral to daily clinical care and are also extended internationally to low-resource settings via the Partnership Program.

Role Overview

The Editor will collaborate with Australian clinical experts to evaluate and synthesize emerging evidence, transforming it into clear, practical, and accessible clinical guidance. You will receive comprehensive orientation and ongoing training encompassing formal skills instruction and experiential learning with consistent feedback. Reporting to a Senior Editor, your responsibilities and autonomy will increase over time, with opportunities to contribute to process innovations and career development.

Typical Responsibilities

• Monitor project priorities and communicate progress, risks, and obstacles to management.
• Perform structured editing and copyediting of clinical topic drafts.
• Collaborate with Expert Writing Group members by resolving queries and assisting with literature searches.
• Participate actively in Publishing team meetings and project discussions.
• Coordinate with Production Editors to prepare for Expert Writing Group meetings.
• Maintain precise project documentation and timelines within project management systems.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across different organisation areas.
• Engage socially and professionally with workplace peers.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a proficient clinical professional with excellent communication skills, strong project management capabilities, and a demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice. The role requires managing multiple priorities effectively and engaging constructively with diverse stakeholders.

• Possession of a tertiary degree in pharmacy or medicine.
• Minimum of three years’ postgraduate clinical experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong skills in project management and problem-solving.
• High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

Previous experience in editing, guideline development, or digital publishing is advantageous but not mandatory.
