Document Reviewer - Temporary Paralegal

About the Role

Credo Legal seeks a full-time temporary document reviewer and paralegal to support ongoing projects, with potential for permanent placement based on performance. This position plays a vital role in assisting our clients by providing compassionate and efficient legal assistance, helping them manage and resolve challenging situations. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing documents, reassigning tasks, auditing legal files, and collaborating with attorneys on strategic matters to support firm efficiency and workflow.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethical relationships with clients.
• Address client inquiries and correspondence with accuracy and empathy.
• Engage effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, attorneys, coworkers, and external parties.
• Work cooperatively within teams to promote a positive work environment.
• Conduct legal research to gather relevant case, contract, and opinion information to support team knowledge.
• Draft, review, and organize all correspondence and legal documents, ensuring completeness and adherence to guidelines.
• Support attorneys through effective communication and coordination.
• Review and evaluate legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with necessary parties to advocate for clients' interests.
• Organize and maintain client files, ensuring readiness for trial.
• Maintain and update legal databases and filing systems for ease of access and accurate records.
• Perform due diligence and compliance reviews to meet legal and regulatory standards.
• Identify inconsistencies or issues within cases and notify attorneys accordingly.
• Participate in training sessions to advance professional skills and knowledge.
• Assist colleagues as needed to achieve team objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience working within a law firm environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or a Paralegal Certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Customer service-focused with an urgent and compassionate approach.
• Strong adherence to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Capable of working independently while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain complex legal concepts clearly.

Compensation

The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $25 to $32, depending on experience.
