Dispatch Manager

Role Overview

Pioneer Rubber Corporation is seeking a Stores, Inventory & Dispatch Manager to assume full responsibility for the material handling process, spanning from moulding to final dispatch to customers at their Vasai facility. This pivotal role requires overseeing stock accuracy, coordinating both internal and outsourced finishing operations, managing vendor relations, ensuring batch-level traceability, supervising inspection and packing, and guaranteeing timely and accurate customer dispatches. This position demands a hands-on approach on the production floor with strong follow-up, documentation proficiency, inventory oversight, and leadership capabilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage receipt of molded parts by verifying part details including number, batch, machine, shift, and quantity.
• Maintain precise inventory levels across various stages: molded components, finishing-in-process, inspection, packing, and ready-to-ship goods.
• Promptly address any stock discrepancies found between records and physical counts.
• Coordinate material transfers for both internal and external finishing tasks, issuing materials with proper documentation and monitoring returns, shortages, and rejections.
• Closely liaise with finishing vendors to ensure timely job completion.
• Keep detailed vendor-wise material ledgers tracking all issued, returned, and pending materials to maintain accountability.
• Assign daily responsibilities to on-site helpers handling deflashing, trimming, deburring, buffing, cleaning, counting, and packaging, monitoring individual productivity and work records.
• Manage the handoff of finished goods for quality inspection, tracking outcomes such as acceptance, rejection, or rework, and ensuring minimal loss during transitions.
• Supervise packaging to meet customer specifications including correct part identification, labeling, quantities, and packing standards, while managing finished goods and dispatch inventories.
• Oversee complete dispatch operations coordinating with accounts, planning, and transportation teams for documentation and vehicle arrangements, ensuring error-free shipments adhered to schedule.
• Maintain comprehensive batch traceability from raw materials and production shifts through to final customer delivery, enabling accurate backward tracking of dispatched items.
• Perform regular stock audits—daily, weekly, monthly—and monitor Work-In-Progress and finished goods aging.
• Generate detailed reports covering stock status, WIP, vendor pending jobs, packing, and dispatch performance, maintaining audit-ready documentation rigorously.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in stores, inventory, or dispatch roles within manufacturing industries, preferably rubber moulding, automotive component, or engineering manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage outsourced finishing vendors and handle complex WIP and finished goods inventories.
• Comfortable working directly on the shop floor interacting with production teams, quality control, helpers, and vendors.
• Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and impeccable documentation skills.
• Competence in stores management, WIP control, dispatch coordination, vendor management, material accounting, and batch traceability.
• Expertise in implementing FIFO principles and conducting periodic stock audits.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems for documentation, reporting, and MIS.
• Skilled in team supervision with excellent follow-up and coordination capabilities.

Additional Information

The candidate should have manufacturing environment experience; general warehouse-only experience lacking manufacturing or WIP exposure might not suffice for this role.

Location: Vasai, Mumbai region, Maharashtra, India.

Employment Type: Full-time.

Salary Range: INR 15,000 to 26,000 per month.
