Key Responsibilities

• Own and advance the target architecture guiding product development, platforms, and related services such as SaaS, Cloud, and DevOps.
• Design an adaptive and future-ready development and delivery organization, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, governance, and interfaces.
• Lead multi-year transformation plans migrating from on-premises to SaaS product models, prioritizing and driving execution consistently.
• Ensure strategic initiatives are ready for execution by establishing prioritization schemes, decision frameworks, and measurable goals.
• Act as a strategic liaison to corporate central functions including Cloud, SaaS, Architecture, DevOps, and Security to represent product development interests confidently.
• Align with and help evolve company-wide standards, target designs, and governance processes, ensuring their adoption within the organization.
• Collaborate closely with operational leaders to convert strategy into actionable programs and projects.
• Implement clear steering models, define KPIs, and set up reliable progress tracking mechanisms establishing these sustainably.
• Promote cross-business unit collaboration and create structures for maximizing platform synergies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven years of strategic leadership experience within product or software development organizations.
• Expert understanding of SaaS and cloud-based product models.
• Track record of managing transitions from project-focused development to product and platform-oriented approaches.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, organizational design, and governance principles.
• Experience working within corporate environments featuring strong central functions.
• A balance of strategic foresight combined with focused execution capabilities.
• Comfort and skill in operating within top-down priority systems and results-driven management.
• Well-developed decision-making abilities, structured workflow, and a strong results orientation.
• Recognized as a trusted advisor at senior executive levels.
• Fluent proficiency in German and English languages.
