Overview

The Director of Operations is a senior leadership position accountable for managing daily business functions, enhancing organizational efficiency, directing operational performance, and aligning business processes to the company's strategic goals. This role partners closely with top management and cross-departmental teams to drive operational excellence, resource management, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and ensure smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with company priorities
Create and execute operational strategies consistent with organizational objectives
Define performance standards, operating procedures, and accountability structures
Track operational outcomes and identify areas for process enhancement
Ensure that operational systems are efficient, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals
Analyze and refine workflows and procedures to eliminate inefficiencies and boost productivity
Lead continuous improvement efforts across operational units to support scalability
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) assessing operational success
Interpret operational data to detect trends and address performance gaps
Regularly report operational progress to executive leadership and develop action plans as needed
Improve operational transparency and accountability within teams
Coordinate with finance, sales, marketing, product development, customer success, HR, and technology departments to synchronize resources and initiatives
Tackle operational challenges and facilitate cross-functional projects
Guide, mentor, and develop operations managers and staff to foster growth and accountability
Build a collaborative and improvement-driven culture throughout the operations teams
Assist in workforce planning, budgeting, and optimal resource allocation
Collaborate with finance and leadership to support operational investments and capacity planning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Management, or related disciplines
More than 15 years of progressive experience in operations, business management, or related fields
Proven leadership capabilities managing complex operational teams and processes
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Track record of driving operational improvements and measurable outcomes
Experienced in collaborating across senior leadership and multiple departments

Preferred Experience

Background within technology, SaaS, fintech, financial services, or similarly complex sectors
Experience overseeing multi-functional or multi-geographical operations
Expertise in operational excellence, business transformation, and strategic execution
Familiarity with business intelligence tools, workflow management, CRM, ERP systems, and operational analytics platforms
Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
