Analog Devices, Inc. is a global leader in semiconductors combining analog, digital, and software solutions to drive innovations in digitized factories, mobility, healthcare, climate change, and connectivity. With over $9 billion in FY24 revenue and about 24,000 employees worldwide, ADI strives to help innovators advance what's possible.
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Verification Lead to oversee verification processes for advanced Optical Control ICs designed for AI datacenter and cloud infrastructure applications. This position entails devising verification strategies, managing execution, and delivering results across block, chip, and system levels, while leading a verification engineering team and collaborating closely with design, analog/mixed-signal, firmware, and system teams to achieve first-pass silicon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own comprehensive verification strategies from initial architecture through tape-out and post-silicon support.
- Plan verification activities including scope, coverage, assertions, and sign-off criteria.
- Promote coverage-driven verification methodologies to ensure thoroughness and quality.
- Serve as primary technical decision-maker for verification and quality standards.
- Manage verification execution timelines, milestones, risk identification, and mitigation plans.
- Act as the verification liaison with project management, aligning verification milestones with project schedules.
- Identify integration and system-level risks early and facilitate cross-team resolution.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality verification outcomes to support tape-out readiness.
- Lead and develop a skilled verification team, guiding technical work and career growth.
- Optimize resource allocation, task prioritization, and workload balance across projects.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and long-term capability development within the team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Architect, review, and guide C/UVM verification environments at both block and chip levels.
- Assist in debugging and root-cause analysis for complex functional and integration issues.
- Evaluate verification environments, sequences, assertions, and coverage reports for robustness and correctness.
- Support post-silicon validation and integration efforts with system, firmware, and application teams.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum eight years’ experience in digital verification of complex SoCs with leadership of major subsystems or full-chip verification.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies, including architecture, sequences, scoreboards, assertions, and coverage management.
- Experience with functional and code coverage metrics and verification sign-off processes.
- Past experience leading verification projects or managing teams, including schedule oversight and cross-team collaboration.
- Familiarity with AMBA protocols such as AXI, AHB, APB, and processor-centric SoC verification.
- Preferred experience in mixed-signal verification and working closely with analog teams.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted tools to enhance design productivity is a plus.
- Competency in C/C++ and scripting languages including Python, Perl, Tcl, or shell scripting.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and adept at working in a fast-paced AI datacenter product environment.
