Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you will take ownership of establishing and enhancing source code management, build, and deployment systems for application development. You will support the implementation and expansion of CI/CD pipelines in both cloud and hybrid environments utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus. Additionally, you will design and evolve a modern, scalable Cloud Developer Workplace solution and contribute to advancing the overall SCM strategy tailored for diverse technologies within a heterogeneous system landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and improve source code management, build, and deployment processes supporting application development.
- Assist in establishing and scaling CI/CD solutions for cloud and hybrid setups using Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus.
- Develop and maintain a contemporary, scalable Cloud Developer Workplace environment.
- Drive the evolution of the source code management strategy focusing on tooling and methodologies for multi-technology stacks.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in IT, telecommunications, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of hands-on professional experience with Microsoft Azure cloud or Java/Web platforms.
- Practical knowledge of public and enterprise cloud services and container orchestration technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Strong expertise in source code management tools, particularly Git, Jenkins, Nexus, and Azure DevOps, alongside cloud-native development toolchains with emphasis on Microsoft Azure.
- Solid understanding of application development and fluency in programming languages including Java, Spring MVC and Boot, JavaScript, and Python.
- Proficiency in both German and English for effective communication.
