Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time DevOps Engineer based in Kochi, Kerala, to design, implement, and sustain scalable infrastructure that supports our software applications and services. This position entails managing Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, automating deployment processes, monitoring system performance, and resolving production issues promptly.

The DevOps Engineer will work in close partnership with software development teams to facilitate seamless software releases, enhance system reliability, and establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies. Additional responsibilities include optimizing Linux server environments, strengthening security protocols, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Design, maintain, and improve infrastructure and deployment automation using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Develop and maintain build pipelines for continuous integration using platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based servers, focusing on system performance, security hardening, and problem resolution.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and thorough documentation of infrastructure processes.
• Utilize scripting and programming skills (Python, Go, or similar) to automate tasks and develop tooling.
• Work with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and manage applications.

Experience and Technical Expertise

• At least one year of practical experience or demonstrable project work deploying web applications.
• Strong knowledge of Linux distributions such as Ubuntu or Debian and proficiency in Shell scripting using Bash and Python.
• Experience with containerization and service management tools, including Docker, Git version control, and Nginx web server.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS EC2, S3, and Route53 or DigitalOcean platforms.
• Capability to independently solve problems, handle server incidents, and document infrastructure clearly and comprehensively.

Preferred Skills

• Fundamental understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
• Basic experience with database administration and query optimization for MySQL or PostgreSQL.
