Job Summary
As a Designer at Social Llama, you will be integral in converting client concepts into impactful and engaging event designs. Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, Principal Designer, and Client Experience team, you will craft event branding, environmental graphics, signage, presentation materials, and various collateral tailored for a diverse array of events, brand promotions, and bespoke experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create visually compelling assets that bring client events to life including live events, brand activations, and custom projects.
- Develop event branding elements such as logos, signage, presentations, mockups, environmental designs, digital materials, invites, and other related collateral.
- Formulate unified visual themes aligned with client objectives, event motifs, and brand identity.
- Ensure all outputs meet high-quality production standards and adhere to Social Llama’s design guidelines.
- Elicit and integrate feedback promptly while preserving design integrity.
- Collaborate intensively with Creative Director, Principal Designer, and Client Experience team throughout design phases.
- Coordinate with client experience teams on event logistics, rentals, brand activations, and custom fabrication efforts.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions, critiques, and project planning.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication within teams to align design outputs with overall client engagement.
- Handle multiple design assignments simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a dynamic setting.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and keep stakeholders informed on project status.
- Organize project files, templates, and digital resources to optimize workflow.
- Produce accurate, accessible design files ready for print and production.
- Prepare precise production-ready art in Adobe Illustrator, considering sizing, bleed, cut lines, and print requirements.
- Partner with Sign Shop, Creative Operations, and Fabrication teams to ensure seamless translation from design to physical output.
- Inspect proofs and samples to ensure consistency and quality prior to final production.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, revising artwork as needed.
- Stay updated with latest design trends, experiential marketing approaches, and innovative creative tools.
- Advance skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and comparable design software.
- Identify ways to enhance workflows and creative processes to elevate Social Llama’s brand and client experiences.
- Introduce innovative ideas that expand creative possibilities while remaining production practical.

Candidate Requirements
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop, along with Canva proficiency.

- A drive to deepen creative competencies and expand existing knowledge.
- Interest in learning about events and experiential design production sector.
- Possesses positive interpersonal traits that encourage a supportive work atmosphere.
