Their work spans textile and plastic circularity, livelihood development for artisans and waste workers, skill enhancement, enterprise growth, research, and engagement with diverse stakeholders.
Role Overview
The Deputy Project Manager position based in Gurgaon, Haryana, involves supporting the planning, coordination, documentation, and monitoring of multiple projects aligned with Conserve India's objectives. This role requires strong collaboration across field teams, technical experts, and partners, along with excellent writing and research capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and managing project schedules, activity calendars, and deliverables tracking.
- Serve as coordinator between project managers, field staff, consultants, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and follow up on assigned tasks to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Prepare various project materials including meeting minutes, progress reports, presentations, concept notes, and briefs.
- Compile field updates, monitoring information, photographic evidence, participant data, and related supporting materials.
- Help organize stakeholder consultations, training sessions, workshops, field visits, and review meetings.
- Conduct secondary research contributing to proposals, reports, and knowledge outputs.
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, and delays; escalate issues appropriately.
- Coordinate administrative, procurement, and financial aspects in consultation with operations and finance teams.
- Undertake periodic field travel to support project implementation.
- Carry out related program coordination, research, and documentation tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, environmental studies, sustainability, management, or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in project or program coordination.
- Proven expertise in managing workplans, trackers, deadlines, and multi-stakeholder communication.
- Excellent writing, documentation, research, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with digital collaboration and project management software is desirable.
- Fluency in English and Hindi, both written and spoken.
- Capability to work independently, juggle multiple tasks, and coordinate across teams.
- Willingness to travel periodically for fieldwork.
Preferred Experience
- Background in circular economy or environmental sustainability.
- Experience with textile or plastic waste management projects.
- Involvement in livelihood or enterprise development, especially community-based or informal worker initiatives.
- Work within CSR, foundation-funded, or development-sector projects.
- Skills in monitoring, evaluation, or donor reporting.

Work Details
