Delivery Driver

Role Overview

As a Delivery Driver at New Scorpio, you will be responsible for verifying customer orders and carefully loading the correct products for delivery. Maintaining a polite and friendly demeanor while engaging customers is essential. Success in this position is measured by timely and safe delivery of goods, outstanding customer service, and contributing to the company's delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, counting, and organizing warehouse inventory.
• Load, unload, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles safely.
• Unpack and check items under the supervision of store managers, ensuring tidiness.
• Sign for and collect obsolete or returned goods from clients.
• Report obsolete or expired inventory accurately.
• Return excess stock to the warehouse when needed.
• Refuel delivery vehicles using the company gas card.
• Monitor vehicle condition and report any issues; discuss compensation for damages incurred during work hours.
• Collect parts and arrange for vehicle servicing.
• Collect checks and office supplies on behalf of the company when necessary.
• Secure warehouse operations and inventory.
• Help organize warehouse space for efficient picking and packing.
• Participate in quarterly stock counts, reconciling physical counts with inventory records.
• Maintain a neat appearance in compliance with the company dress code.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and identify potential problems.
• Assist with picking items according to packing slips.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in customer service; sales or delivery experience is advantageous.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic start-up environment.
• Possession of a valid general driver's license.
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
