Deli Bakery Team Associate

Position Overview

The role of a Deli Bakery Associate involves delivering exceptional customer service in line with Walmart's core values. This position requires maintaining and organizing the Bakery and/or Deli sections, managing stock, and assisting in product sales.

Key Duties

• Organize and zone product shelves, tables, and storage areas to maintain proper product arrangements.
• Manage stock rotation by inspecting for expired items.
• Ensure all merchandise is clearly marked with accurate signage and pricing.
• Follow strict protocols related to cold chain compliance, including thermometer calibrations, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, stock rotation, and checking sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take and prepare orders in the Deli Department, including hot food items and assisting customers as needed.
• Prepare deli food orders using utensils and operate the rotisserie oven to prepare chicken; replenish side dishes for display.
• Accurately prepare bakery products by adhering to thawing and baking instructions to uphold product quality and appearance for items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Comply with procedures for order processing, clearance sales, price adjustments, and product labeling.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
